Bone meal is steamed, ground bone — a concentrated natural source of phosphorus and calcium. Nitrogen grows leaves; phosphorus grows roots and flowers. A plant that is all foliage and no bloom is usually short of exactly this.
Why we stock it
- Triggers flowering: the standard fix for leafy, bloomless plants
- Root development: especially valuable at transplant time
- Slow release: feeds over 3–4 months, no burn risk
How to use
- At planting: 1 tablespoon mixed into the hole
- Established pots: 2 tablespoons worked into the topsoil each season
- Best for: Roses, hibiscus, bougainvillea, jasmine, bulbs
Contents: 1 kg steamed bone meal in a compostable paper sack. Not vegan.
