GamlaBazaar is not a real business. This website is a student project built for MSL885 – Digital Marketing at the Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. It exists so that a working e-commerce portal can be designed, implemented, marketed and measured as part of a graded academic assignment.
What this means for you
- No products are sold. Nothing listed here is in stock, and nothing can be purchased.
- No orders are fulfilled. If you complete a checkout, no order is processed, packed, shipped or delivered.
- No payment is collected. The store offers Cash on Delivery only, and no payment gateway is connected. No card, UPI or bank details are requested or captured at any point.
- Prices are illustrative. They were chosen to model a realistic Indian D2C plant store, not to quote a real sale.
- The brand is fictional. GamlaBazaar, its sustainability claims, supplier relationships and delivery promises are invented for the purposes of this exercise.
Why the site looks real
The assignment requires a functioning e-commerce implementation — a real WordPress and WooCommerce build, real on-page SEO, real web analytics integration. A deliberately broken or obviously fake storefront would not demonstrate any of that. So the site is built to production standard, and this page exists to make sure nobody mistakes it for a trading business.
Product photography
All product images are used under Creative Commons or public-domain licences, sourced through Openverse. They are representative stock photographs, not photographs of goods held by anyone. Full attribution for every image is maintained as part of the project submission.
Data and privacy
This site runs Google Analytics 4 because measuring traffic is part of the assignment brief. Analytics data is collected in aggregate for coursework purposes only and is not sold, shared or used commercially. Please do not enter real personal information, real addresses or real payment details anywhere on this site.
